Hello,
If you create a variable of the type that the task requires, it will show up in the dropdown there.
So for example if you create a blackboard variable of type NavMeshAgent (or GameObject), it will show in the Move To Target action task to be selected. There is nothing more special that needs to be done.

Please let me know if that answers the question, or I maybe I misunderstood it(?).
