I am really sorry but this behaviour, at least right now, can not be disabled. That is because at the time you enter play mode, the SubTrees are not yet initialized to save performance and as such they practically do not exist up until they are initialized which happens the first time a SubTree is executed.
Of course in editor mode, you can lock the graph with the “lock” button on the top right to avoid auto changing target graph in editor when selecting a different gameobject with a graph.
