Hey Gavalakis,
Was just wondering why the ‘Stepped and Linear connection visual modes’ were removed in 2.9.0 and whether they will be re-added later. The curve connection can get a bit messy!
Thanks!
Hello and sorry for the late reply due to xmas vacation.
The step and linear styles were removed due to the new runtime debugging visualization that has been added recently. It was a bit of a mess to have to manage three different styles since each one required a slightly different piece of code for the runtime debuging visualization to work properly, especially for the stepped style. I could re-add the linear style if that is the one you miss the most, but I am not sure about re-adding the stepped style right now. :/
No worries!
I think I’ll just live with the curved connection in that case, i’ll get use to it in time so it’s no problem. The stepped style did help prevent connections getting in the way of each other. e.g. one sequencer with a lot of nodes -> connections going behind other nodes etc.
Also great work with the ‘Finder’ window, really heaps manage large amounts of graphs.
