    Hi Forum,

I have a problem about how to create defined blackboard parameter. When I select a graph asset, I suppose it could create defined blackboard parameter, yet such option is grey and can’t be selected. How could I add defined blackboard parameter?

Besides, after I assign the graph on a graph owner and had selected “EDIT BEHAVIOR TREE”, I can’t remove the graph owner even when I directly select the graph in asset folder, which makes it impossible to add defined blackboard parameter because that choice has been substituted by “Promote defined Parameters to Variables”.

    Hello,

The “Create Defined Blackboard Variables”, for graph assets, is disabled, because graph assets don’t yet have a blackboard, until they are assigned to a GraphOwner (although in future version, graphs will use a local blackboard).

The “Promote defined Parameters to Variables” option, is exactly the same as the “Create Defined Blackboard Variables”. It is totally my bad that these are named differently! I will fix this ASAP!
But I think that “Promote Defined Parameters to Variables” is exactly what you want. This option, will create one variable per parameter existing gin the graph and in the blackboard of the GraphOwner. Isn’t that what you originally intended?

    Let me know.
    Thanks.
