    Hello !

First of all, thanks for your excellent software. I recently switched from PlayMaker to NodeCanvas + FlowScript, and I am extremely happy for the switch. I have an extensive experience working with complex FSM for industrial projects, and PlayMaker was disappointing to me, even for the “hobbyist” usage I used it for. The hierarchical FSM of NodeCanvas are, to me, absolutely required for serious work, so thanks for making my life much easier 🙂

I have a question about the integration of both of your tools: I didnt find a way to use a FlowScript (returning a boolean) as a condition on a FSM transition in NodeCanvas. Is that possible? And if not, do you plan to support it? Could I build it myself and if so, what would be the general direction you would suggest?

    Best regards,

    QD

    Hello!

I am really sorry for the late reply and thanks a lot for your very positive feedback as well! I am really glad you like NC + FC.
Unfortunately using a flowscript in place of a traditional Condition Task is not supported, and supporting doing this will add a lot of complexity of managing the various flowscript assets used for that, since flowscripts are saved in the project as assets, rather than saved as script code. Adding support for that will also require a huge amount of changes to the framework.
Thus flowscripts (and other type of framework graphs), are really indented to only be used as nested sub-graphs, rather than “in-place” of traditional coded Actions or Conditions, andis something that unfortunately is not possible by how the framework currently works.

I am sorry for the kind of “let down” answer :-/
Thanks again for your positive feedback!
