Global Search for Nodes?

Hello

Is there away to search the entire nodeCanvas directory for a node, like a global search? I’m new to this and sometimes i’m not sure where to look for a node that I want, so I start typing in common names for it but if i’m not in the right category it comes back as no results found. Today I searched for a node in “Actions” and thought it didn’t exist but to my surprise it was in conditions. It would be helpful if there was a place that would search all nodes.

Hello and sorry for the late reply!

Unfortunately there is no way to do a search across both Actions and Conditions at once. The main reason of course, is because Actions can be assigned in different nodes, than conditions can, or in other words, you can’t assign an action where conditions are assigned and vice-versa. As such, when say for example you have a Behaviour Tree Conditional Decorator Node and you hit the Assign Condition Button in it’s inspector, displaying Actions within the browser menu would not really make sense UI wise, since you won’t be able to assign any found Actions in the Behaviour Tree Conditional Decorator Node anyways.

I really hope this clarifies the reasoning. 🙂
