Just starting to play around with NC, looks nice. I am slowly starting to get my head around BTs.
I read through the docs online and can’t see anything relating to these really simple questions.
Questions:
1. I saw you implemented Copy/Paste. How do you do this?
2. Also related to Copy/Paste. How do you select more than one of anything?
The copy/pasting is for Tasks, meaning action & conditions. You right click on the title bar of the task and chose copy, then a small “P” will apears next to the button that says “Add Action Task” if a task is copied. Hitting that “P” will paste the task.
Nodes dont have copy pasting yet, but they have of course dublicate, which, well..it’s kind of the same 🙂
I havent yet implemented multinode selection, but, if you are working with BTs, holding down SHIFT will move the node along with all it’s children recursively.
The multi selection will be there soon though, as it could still be useful.
Let me know if you have any other questions, simple or not 🙂
I am new to Nodecanvas and have been scratching my head how to paste an action, too.
Now that i know I have to say: it is inconsistent, if you copy with rightclick menue, you expect also to be able to paste with rightclick menue.
But good to know how it works now.
Hello and happy new year.
This is a very old thread and copy/pasting tasks, no longer works exactly the way I replied in that post above. Copy can be done by right click on the task, while pasting the task can be done through the “Assign Action Task” button. If a task is already copied, you will see a paste task at the end of the menu that popups when you hit the “Assign Action Task” button.
You can also copy/paste tasks from one node to another if applicable, by right click on the the node and selecting “Copy Assigned Tasks” / “Paste Assigned Task”.
Cheers!
