    Hi there,

First of all congratulations! Flowcanvas appear as the most popular asset on the store 🙂 You make awesome Tools man!

I have some feedback and few requests, please let me know what you think

    1. Is it possible to make the local Variables window detachable?
    2. Can you make the global variables as a window, so can be detachable and dockable in any place in unity windows. If this is not possible, another option … can you make a MIRROR copy of the Global variables at the bottom of the local variables window? So they can be viewed in the graph at all times
    3. during the search function for new tasks/conditions. I would like to suggest the ability to type a phrase and the system would look deeper into the Get Property/Set property, execute function and execute static function, etc… for example, if I type “Get Parent”, then it will present right away the options for get parent, or if I search for “string compare” then it should go and look directly into the execute static function place and present all the options..
The way the search function works now implies to know first that the “get parent” is part of the “get property” then click on that. Then need to click on the “Select property” button and search for the get parent… but the situation now is that if I don’t know that the “get parent” task is part of the Get Property function. it will need some good minutes to find the task I need, unless I know very well all the methods, functions, static functions, etc.
What I am suggesting is in addition to what you already have… both ways can coexist!

    4. I am interested in your other assets: DocMe and Slate, do you know when the SLATE Asset will be on discount? Do you have more documentation about the DOCME Asset.. other than the video demo from the Asset Store

    Thanks in advance!!

    Hey,
    Thank you! 🙂

    Regarding your suggestion:

    1) The local variables can also be inspected in the normal unity inspector of the object since, through the Blackboard component. Does this not suffice?
    2) I will take a look at global variables dockable window, yes.
    3) The menu for action selection and the menu for property/method selection is really completely different, thus unfortunately it’s not quite possible unless I resolve to some heavy hacks to make it work, and which I would really like to avoid. The Script Control tasks are really -just another- action/condition set, even though they contain more options within.
    4) Thanks for your interest in the other tools. I can’t tell for sure when either of them will be on sale, even though both have been suggested to the asset store team already. DocMe is a very small utility tool to browse documentation through reflection and I believe pretty much self-explanatory. There is a small “ReadMe” included in the package though 🙂

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

    you are welcome!
    thanks for your response,
    1. well…, when you have big FSM’s that take much space, you need as much Graph space as possible. An Having the variables inspected in the object is good, but that means I need to have the object selected in the hierarchy…

    2. Thanks for looking into this, by the way can you include a post with the list of enhancements, and fixes that will go live in next version?

    3. that’s ok, thanks for explaining

    4. I will probably buy Docme now and the SLATE later, hope it gets on sale soon 🙂

    thanks again!

    hi,

more info on (1). basically what I am suggesting is to apply the same functionality that you have for the “External Inspector Panel” that will optionally make the task inspector panel as a separate window

    thanks!
