I noticed that if you select a node with children, and drag it, the children move at a different rate than the actual node you are dragging. This results in nodes bunching up or blocking each other, or even reordering sequencers.
Similarly, when you make a group, then move that group, the same thing happens. Everything moves at different rates (especially if you move them quickly, doing it painfully slowly seems to prevent this). In groups, I’ve had nodes “fall out of” the group, and then they don’t move with the rest.
It would be nice if the children nodes updated their position on a pixel by pixel basis, following the dragged node exactly.
Thanks for the bug report. This is something I wanted to fix for some time now and always missed for one reason or another.
For your information, this bug only takes place when you are zoomed out, while it’s working as expected when zoomed in at 1:1 ratio.
Regardless though, this needs to be fixed 🙂 I have now just increased this bug’s priority.
Thanks!
