NodeCanvas Forums › General Discussion › Task Share?
Just a thought,
Is there any use for a section on this forum for sharing Task-suites?
e.g a series of behaviour system actions? Flocking, cohesion , arrive etc
or a series for loading resources/text from directories,
common dialog tree conditions?
various physics and force application tasks, throw at, implode, explode, tractor beam etc…
I mean, I intend to create a number of these myself anyway. I just wonder if anyone else would be interested in knowledge sharing on common components.
The beauty of splitting them up into small suites is I don’t have to pollute my project with all the stuff I don’t need like those things in playmaker, but I can grab a few actions or action sets relevant to my current project.
Hey,
A while back I was thinking of creating something in editor, like for example the modules window Unity has, but this idea never came along basicaly due to my lack of web programming stuff 🙂
With that said, I am looking at alternatives to make this happen. If it doesn’t go well soon enough, then I will definetely open up a forum section as the alternative.
I also hate having bunch of tasks that I will never use, simply flooding my menus, to a point I have even though of removing the existing tasks in NC (except the very core like the ones with the asterisk in front) and put them on some downloadable form online.
Possibly if I manage to create an intuitive online database, this will happen 🙂
So, yeah. I definetely agree and it’s on the roadmap in one way(database) or another(forum) 🙂
Cheers!
