I’m not sure if this is a bug, or if there’s a new way of doing this in 2.6.x, but I have an fsm owner that is bound in the hierarchy of a prefab, and all of the black board dependencies are also part of this prefab. However, when I instantiate the prefab, the black board no longer has any variables serialized on it.
I used to be able to do this without issue. What am I doing wrong?
Are you saying that the blackboard is empty of variables after instantiating the prefab containing that blackboard?
Considering I understood your setup correctly, I’ve tried this and everything is working correctly.
Can you please send me a small reproduction project to check this out to support@paradoxnotion.com?
Thanks in advance.
So, I didn’t figure out what the root cause of this issue is, but I did find out that this only occurs using the unity 5.6 beta versions. My team was forced to use the 5.6 beta for other necessary features, but I understand if your answer has to be that node canvas simply doesn’t support 5.6 yet.
Hello,
Thanks for letting me know that this takes place in Unity Beta 5.6.
I haven’t yet even tried Unity 5.6 as I think it’s too early, but I will download and check it out tomorrow and see what could be the cause of this problem.
Hey,
Sorry, I didn’t yet have the chance to check Unity Beta 5.6. To be honest I kind of forgot to do so due to other matters. Sorry about that.
Downloading it now 🙂
