I initially created similar topic in Flowcanvas sometime ago, however my initial request was somehow complicated due to the way Flowcanvas/NC Framework is structured… Based on that I would like to suggest something “simple” to include an indicator of the variables used by any node.
example. If a node is selected, the program will show an indicator of what variables are used for that specific node in the Variables panel. And the other way around. if a variable is selected from from variables panel then all nodes that use that variable (in that Graph only) can be highlighted. See attached example…
When you have so many variables and many nodes it can become challenging.
Another suggestion to coloring the nodes in NC, FC and FSm States, I added a suggestion in the attached image as well, so instead of altering your main design . Just adding a single colored bar inside the node.. this might work as well in PRO and FREE
Yes, I remember your other post about highlighting all used variables by the graph. I like this new suggestion far better indeed though. 🙂
So, I went ahead and implemented this feature and now variables all used variables by the selected node or connection are highlighted as shown bellow:
I also like your coloring method suggestion a lot, so I also went ahead and implemented that feature as well! So in the next version we will be able to custom colorize the nodes just as you suggested:
Hello and welcome back! 🙂
Unfortunately your last posted request will not be in the immediate next version, because it relies on some other things that first need implementing, so it will probably appear in the version after the next one.
Thanks!
